The "Trautenberg" family pension is located in the peaceful surroundings of the Giant Mountains border region, belonging to the picturesque landscape of Rychory, the eastern gateway of the highest mountains of the Krkonoše, in the village of Královec, which was founded as early as around the year 1007. The village of Královec is part of the Žacléřsko micro-region and has always been important due to its position and the border crossing into neighbouring Silesia (Poland).

The "Trautenberg" family pension was built in 1924 as a family dwelling. In 2002 the general reconstruction of the interior was carried out.

On the ground floor there is a large veranda, a bathroom with a corner shower, WC and hair-dryer. Then there is a spacious and completely furnished kitchen (including refrigerator, stove, microwave oven) linked with the sitting room with TV, SAT and CD.

On the landing on the first floor there is a small sitting area with a beautiful view of the panorama of the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše). There you will find two tripple attic bedrooms, with TV and SAT (around 100 international television programmes) and the possibility of additional beds.

The "Trautenberg" family pension is located on a highway No. 16, which is connected to the border crossing into Poland. This ensures that it is always accessible, especially in the winter period.

Beside the pension there is parking space available for up to 4 cars. For sitting outside in the summer there is access to the terrace from the kitchen and to a summerhouse with a garden grill.

The "Trautenberg" family pension is intended first and foremost for weekend and extended weekend stays or a 7 – 10 - day holiday for families with children in complete privacy.

Žacléřsko is one of the quieter mountain resorts, which is a great advantage.

IN THE WINTER there are available in nearby Žacléř (about 5 km from the pension) 2 downhill centres in Prkenný Důl with five ski tows, artificial snow, when needed and night skiing. Amongst other services you can find: hire of skiing equipment, a ski school, refreshments, restaurants, etc.…

For beginners and undemanding skiers there is a small ski centre in Bernartice (about 3 km from the pension). For those who enjoy cross-country skiing there are well-maintained ski trails (roughly 130 km), which join up with the so-called "Giant Mountains Highway“. Further opportunities for sport are provided by the ice rink in the Trutnov Winter Hall (about 15 km from the pension).

In the SUMMER MONTHS lovers of tourism and cycling tours also frequently visit this area. In Žacléř you can enjoy plaing tennis and volleyball on modern courts. You can also go to Trutnov and enjoy a nice, big, outdoor swimming pool for few laps or entertaining the children or you might want to go to Bukowka reservoir in Poland (only 3 km away from the pension) for windsurfing or other watersports.

Further possibilities for sport:
Flying on a hang-glider and paragliding (Špičák, Královec), golf (Mladé Buky), horse riding, a fitness centre with massage and a solarium (Žacléř), bowling (Žacléř, Trutnov) and the rehabilitation health facilities of Rehamedica (Žacléř).
